Desať rokov členstva v EÚ prinieslo krajinám strednej Európy dôležité možnosti rozvoja, ale na druhej strane sa v tomto procese odhalili niektoré prekážky ich rastu. Stredoeurópske krajiny si vo vzťahu k EÚ zlepšili svoju pozíciu, znížili rozdiely vo výkonnosti a zvýšili produktivitu práce.
