Energie sú zahrnuté do sféry sieťových odvetví, ktoré sú regulované štátom. Štruktúra a regulácia monopolov. Regulácia v Slovenských elektrárňach. V regulačnom období 2012-2016 jej cieľom bolo stabilizovať variabilné a fixné náklady, resp. dlhodobý návrat investícií.
