Cieľom príspevku bolo zmapovať a charakterizovať diplomatickú a politickú oblasť iniciatív EÚ v prebiehajúcej kríze na arménsko-azerbajdžanskej hranici. Zvýšený záujem EÚ o tento región odhaľuje snahy európskej diplomacie o oslabenie vplyvu Ruska v jeho dlhodobej sfére vplyvu.
