Konštrukcia skupiny aproximácii uzavretej plochy v trojrozmernom reálnom priestore, z ktorých každá sa stáva triangulovanou dvojrozmernou varietou, a ktoré akýmsi spôsobom konvergujú k uzavretej ploche, ktorú aproximujú. Pokus prekonať niektoré problémy tejto triedy úloh.
