Definovanie chudoby z dvoch aspektov: absolútna, relatívna. Indikátory (príjmy alebo spotrebné výdavky) a hranica chudoby. Meranie chudoby - potreba definovať jednotku zisťovania, a tzv. spotrebné jednotky.
