Porovnanie inovatívnosti ekonomík a jej vplyv na konkurencieschopnosť krajín. Na tento účel boli vybrané štyri členské štáty Európskej únie - dve veľké ekonomiky (Nemecko a Poľsko) a dve malé ekonomiky (Česká republika a Rakúsko) a Švajčiarsko, ktoré patrí medzi lídrov v oboch oblastiach.
